The holiday town of Platja D'aro has all the ingreadients to make a great holiday for couples and families alike. A long golden sandy beach with all the usual tourist facilities, sun besds, parasols, water sports and a good selection of cafe bars for drinks or snacks. Along the coast to the south and north of the resort there are a number of beautiful cove beaches with safe swimming. The town has many shops, ice cream parlours and restaurants offering anything from fast food to good quality local cuisine. Just to the south of Platja D'aro is the up market resort of S'Agaro, which is well worth a visit. It is possible to walk along a coastal footpath which is very enjoyable and takes about 40 minutes. Once in S'Agaro you will find a lovely beach and a selection of good quality restaurants for lunch or dinner. This area is a little more relaxed than some of the more well known Costa Brava resorts, but still has enogh going on to please most visitors of any age.
